Yesterday was a very gloomy day with a few sprinkles here in So. Calif. which was a nice change. It put me in the mood for working!! I made two trees. One a cute gingerbread in a metal bucket and the other a gingerbread kitchen tree in a vintage sifter. I didn't find to much when I went antique shopping with my daughter on Sunday. That is how it goes sometimes. Some things were just a bit to pricey for what I wanted to use them for. Since the show Pickers came on TV people's prices have gone up on things. Well I'm off to work on special orders today. I have both trees listed on Ebay. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!

New Santa Tree!!
Yesterday I worked on a Santa tree. My husband found this cute basket for me to make a tree. He cute out a piece of wood that would fit on the front of the container. I painted this cute flying Santa. This is a Katrina Roncin design. I love her work!!! I put a 24 inch tree in it and used some of my hand painted Santa clothespins and 3 1/2 inch long sticks. It stands 29 inches tall.
Well today I'm off to go antiquing with my daughter. I'm hoping I can find some cute containers for my trees. I'm starting to run low. No matter how prepared I think I am for the seasons it doesn't seem to work out. I hope you all have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!!

New Sweet Shoppe Tree!!!
Last night I worked on a Sweet Shoppe Tree. I try to do different themes for my trees. Not everyone wants a snowman or a gingerbread. All year my husband and I go to flea markets and antique stores in the area. For us here in California we like to go to the Rose Bowl flea market. It is huge and there is no shade so we try to get there early. We can hardly make it through the whole thing. What makes it easier is that I'm looking for specific items like sifters, bowls, and enamelware. The bowl that I used for this tree I found in a cute little antique store not far from my house. Sometimes some of the items that I buy I will display in my house until I'm ready to use them. When It comes time to start using the items I don't want to give them up. So this tree has a lot of cute pieces. Their is a cupcake on a plate, small little cakes, ribbon candy, little polka dot candy canes, sugary lollipops and much much more. I have it listed on ebay. Have a good weekend and thanks for stopping by!!!!

New Snowman Tree!!!!
Well it's Friday already!!! Where did the week go. I work work all week and don't seem to get ahead. I'm going to be in a craft boutique Nov. 19th and I hardly have anything done. So now I'm starting to stress out!!!! Today I worked on a snowman tree. I made a few for the show and one for ebay. This is a cute design by Renee Mullins. He has a little cardinal on his hat. Of course I had to give him a little sparkle. It looks so pretty at night with just the lights on. Well I hope you all have a good weekend. Think of me here in my workroom painting. By the way the tree is listed on Ebay.
Thanks, Denise

New Sweet Shoppe Gingerbread Cupcake Tree
Today I made a Sweet Shoppe Gingerbread Cupcake Tree. This was a fun project to do. I painted this adorable gingerbread angel with all her baking utensils on the front of the box. This is a design by Niomi Draper. There are all kinds of sweet confections on the tree. Cupcakes, ribbon candy, and lollipops. I painted cute salt dough gingerbread ornaments and a sign at the top of the tree that says Sweet Shoppe. There is also a faux popcorn garland. Now I'm hungry for cupcakes. Well I hope you all have a great weekend. Denise
