Trees Trees Everywhere!!!!!

Hi Everyone!!! Hope your all having a good weekend!! It has been a while since I last posted. It seems like it gets harder and harder to get the time to keep in touch. We have had a lot going on at my house. My FIL has been in a nursing home for over a year and his health got progressively worse and he passed away two weeks ago. My MIL has been living with us since he was put in a nursing home for about a year and a half. We couldn't let her live by herself being she is 94. I also babysit my grandson three days a week, so needless to say my time is very limited. I have managed to make my trees for the Holiday's. Every chance I get I'm in my workroom painting away. I'm posting some pictures of the trees I have done in the last few weeks and also some that are listed on Ebay and Etsy. Now that things have calmed down a little bit I'm hoping I'll be able to post more and keep in touch. Hope you all have a great week and a creative one!!

It's Never To Hot For Halloween!!!!!

Happy Saturday Everyone!!! I'm working early today because it's suppose to be 106 degrees here in So. California. This is when I miss the changing of the seasons. I was born and raised in NJ and I always miss it this time of year!!! So anyway even thou it's hot I have to get in the mood for Halloween. I just finished a Jack O Lantern Spooky tree. It's very festive with the orange lights. I have it listed on Ebay!! Also I have one of my gingerbread kitchen trees in a red enamel colander listed . Good Enough To Eat !!!!!

Hope everyone had a good weekend!!!! Can you believe it's September already. This is when the months really fly by with all the holidays coming up. Of course it doesn't feel like September here in California. For over a week now the temperature as been in the triple digits. Not good!!! Even thou it's been so hot I managed to finish my first Gingerbread tree of the season. I made my little salt dough gingerbread men and painted them to hang on the tree. I put the 24 inch tree in a red enamel colander. It's full of festive decorations. There are kitchen utensils, candies, and different berry picks. Here are some pictures of the finished product. Halloween Kitchen Tree!!!!

Happy Friday Everyone!!! Here is the Halloween kitchen tree I was working on all finished. I put a 24 inch tree in an orange enamel colander. The tree is full of fun ornaments such as kitchen utensils and lots of Halloween ornaments. I have it listed on Ebay!! Hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend. It's my youngest sons birthday and we are going to have a family dinner here at the house. We are going

HAPPY FALL Y'ALL

Hi Everyone!!! Hope your all having a good week. I can't believe it's going to be Friday already tomorrow. I have been working on Fall and Halloween trees this week. I was able to get out all my Halloween decorations out yesterday and I decorated the living room and dinning room. It was a nice change to have something different up. My trees make great decorations for fall, You can use them as centerpiece on the table, or sitting in the window. Especially with the lights it makes a festive decoration. I have two trees listed on Ebay right now a Fall Thanksgiving tree and a Halloween. At the moment I'm working on a Halloween Kitchen tree in a orange enamel colander. It's Pumpkin Time!!!!!!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far!!! It's very hot here today so I'm staying inside with the air conditioning and painting. I painted two pumpkin gourds today. I painted them burnt orange and antiqued them with Burnt Umber. I painted an Autumn saltbox scene with a wagon full of pumpkins. I tied a raffia bow with a fall plaid  bow around the stem. Jack O Lantern Time Again!!

Happy Monday everyone!! Hope your having a great day. Well I have to say I have been on a roll. I just finished a Jack O Lantern Halloween tree and listed it on Ebay. I try to get as much done as I can on the weekend and Monday because I babysit my grandson the rest of the week. He is 2 so I can't get a lot done while he is here because I have to watch him every second. He loves to be outside, so I spend a lot of time outdoors. Here are some pictures of the tree. Here Comes Fall!!!!!

Hi Everyone!! Hope your all having a great summer. It sure is going by quickly. Halloween will be here before we know it. I have been lax keeping up with my blog. My husband and I went on a vacation for a week and had a great time. A week was definitely not long enough. It's really hard getting back into a routine again. Last week I decided that I had to get back into my work room and organize. I put away all the 4th of July supplies and got out Fall and Halloween. It's a nice change to paint something different. The Fall tree I made can be displayed now through Thanksgiving. I painted a new design by Martha Smalley. You can find her great designs on Etsy at Apple Tree Cottage. Celebrate America!!!!!

Hi Everyone!!! Hope you all are having a great weekend. It's very hot here in So. California. It's in the 90's. Much to early for this hot weather. Well with Easter behind us I started on patriotic items. I have been listing my fire crackers and trees on eBay and Etsy.

 It was great to start on something different. I took down all of my Spring decorations and pulled out all the patriotic things. I'm ready for Memorial Day and the rest of the summer. April was a busy month for us. We celebrated Easter, two birthdays,and our 40th wedding anniversary. A lot of eating!!!! Here are a few pictures of some of the items I have been working on. Spring Is Just Around The Corner!!!!!

Good morning everyone!!! Hopefully it's starting to get warmer for all of you. We finally got the much needed rain here in Southern California. It rained here for four days straight. It was a nice change!!!
With all the rain I was able to stay inside and get some of my Easter trees done. With Valentine's day behind us I dug out my Easter decorations and decorated the house. I need to get started a bit early because I use my decorations for props in my pictures for ebay. I think it gives you some ideas of different ways to decorate with the trees. The big tree is a white feather tree and the small tree is a green feather tree. Both designs that I painted on the front are Terrye French designs. You can view them both on ebay.

It's Bunny Time Again!!!!!

Hi Everyone, Hope you all had a great Valentin's Day. My husband and I went out for a quiet dinner and had a very nice time. It was good to get out just the two of us.

I worked on trees and special orders the rest of the weekend. I just listed a bunny tree on ebay. I painted a cute bunny on the front of the container that holds the tree. It's a Terrye French design. The tree would make a great centerpiece in the middle of your table as I have it shown in the picture. Right now I'm babysitting my grandson and he is napping, so I'm taking advantage of the quiet time.

Luck Of The Irish!!!

Hi Everyone!!! Hope your all having a good Monday. I have been trying to beat this cold that I have had. It seems to be lingering!! Now the hubby has it:(
I was able to get some work done this weekend. I worked on a St. Patrick's day tree. I really liked the way it turned out. I painted a Laurie Speltz's design on the wooden container. I'm going to try to get more Easter trees done this week. Today I worked on getting my workroom organized as much as I could. Of course as soon as I start painting it will be back to a mess again. It seems that it becomes a drop off for everyone's junk
that they don't know what to do with.
