Busy Weekend

Trees Trees And More Trees!!!!!

Well I have been hard at work this weekend. I just finished two trees. I did a saltbox theme Americana tree. I painted a wooden box with a Terrye french design. It has a lot of different patriotic ornaments on it. I spent half of the day yesterday painting the little stick Uncle Sam's for my trees. I also finished another small Americana tree in a red colander. I have them both listed on Ebay. Later on today I'm going over to my daughters house to work on the cricut. She wants to make birthday invitations for her son's first birthday. We had to take a class for that machine. We would of never figured that out on our own. A lot to learn, but once you get the hang of it the possibilities are endless. I'll see how we do!!! Well I hope your all having a good Sunday and I'll talk to you soon:)

Patriotic Tree!!!

Hi Everyone!!!! Hope your all having a good week. I finished this tree yesterday. It's just a small tree I did in a red metal colander. It has a variety of small patriotic ornaments. This would be a great prim decoration to display for Memorial Day. I have the tree listed on ebay. Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

So Much Celebrating!!!!!

Hi Everyone, It has been a very busy few weeks. My husband and I celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary last weekend. We went out for dinner to one of our favorite restaurants. Wow where did the time go!!!!. A few days later we celebrated my son's 35th birthday. So it was out to dinner again. He wanted to go to a Thai restaurant. It was a hard weekend for my diet. I have been on weight watches since Sept. and I have lost 42 lbs. with about 30 to go. If I do any more celebrating I won't make it any time soon. My mother in law turns 92 on Sunday but I'm having her party at my house so I'll have more control over the menu. It isn't easy because I like to eat!!!!!! Well enough about me. I was actually able to work on and finish a new design for Painting With Friends. It was so much fun to paint. Now I'm just typing up the instructions and I hope to have it done by next week. I painted the design on a wooden box and I have it listed on Ebay right now. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!! Denise:)

Happy Easter to all my wonderful friends and followers!! Spending the day with family and making a big dinner. Its my grandsons first Easter. He is only 8 months old but grandma has an Easter egg hunt planned for him. It will be fun. Have a great day!!!!!

Blog Update!!!!!!

Hi Everyone!! It's been a very long time since I posted anything on my blog. Babysitting three days a week has been a lot more time consuming than I thought. There is a reason you have children when your young. I thought I would have no problem taking care of him and getting my painting done. Well by the time he is picked up I'm ready for bed!!! Of course we love him dearly and wouldn't have it any other way. So I have to take advantage of the the days he is not here and get more organized. I was able to work on a tree this week. It's a new design by Terrye French and Martha Smalley from Painting With Friends. It was so much fun to paint.I'm hoping I can get more painting done this week. Well it's good to be back. I hope you all have a wonderful Easter!!!!

Seasonal Trees!!
